WHAT IS CALFRESH?

CalFresh is a California financial aid program in the form of a debit card for groceries. It won’t affect your financial aid. CalFresh benefits can be used at grocery stores and  farmers' markets. You don't have to choose between textbooks or a meal!

AN ELIGIBLE STUDENT COULD GET UP TO $250 EACH MONTH.

Exactly how much money you will get depends on your income and how many people you buy food for.

WHO QUALIFIES?

Part-time workers, EOP students, Cal Grant recipients, parents, and students with zero family contribution to their education might qualify.  It's worth a try, just apply!

HOW LONG WILL APPLYING TAKE?

It takes just a couple of minutes to submit your application. The SRJC CalFresh Outreach team will reach out to you within two weeks to check in on your application process and assist with any bumps along the road. If approved, you’ll get money within 30 days.
